Virtual Docket

Virtual TRO Docket
This setting is for an initial filing where a temporary restraining order is being requested or a hearing on temporary orders is being requested and the other party has not yet appeared. Temporary restraining order hearings are not preferentially set. Rather, a small number of cases will be called on a "Zoom docket" at the scheduled time. The Court will try to accommodate your time estimate, but availability may be limited.
Virtual Ancillary Docket
You may schedule an ancillary matter (no longer than 15 minutes) to be heard during a virtual docket.
Virtual Enforcement Docket
This setting is for a Motion to Enforce where a "Notice and Order to Appear" is going to be served on the Respondent and the Respondent has not yet filed an answer. Settings on the Enforcement Virtual Docket are not preferentially set. Rather, a small number of cases will be called on a "Zoom docket" at the scheduled time. The Court will try to accommodate your time estimate, but availability may be limited.

Uncontested

Finalizar un Acuerdo (Prove Up for Spanish Speaker)

Prove Up of Uncontested Matter
Setting for person that wishes to prove up an uncontested agreement. This applies to (but not limited to) waiver divorce, waiver suit affecting the parent-child relationship, waiver petition to modify, petition for name change, agreed final order, and prove up of mediated settlement agreements.
Signing Box
Use this appointment to notify the 308th of a proposed order that needs to be reviewed by a judge for signing. This includes orders proven-up by affidavit or declaration. Judges review their signing box daily. Your setting will be cancelled when your order is signed.

This appointment is NOT for use to set a hearing for consideration by submission or for oral hearings.
Quick Approach
Setting requires ALL attorneys/parties of record to approach the judge to discuss any issue that cannot be addressed by submission.

No Answer Default
Twenty-four (24) hours prior to setting, the party must file a proposed order, non military affidavit, certificate of last known address, sworn inventory and appraisement (for divorce), AOP or DNA (for cause involving establishment of paternity). If additional Exhibits will be introduced, please email directly to Court Reporter twenty-four (24) hours prior to the date of setting.
Pre-Trial Conference for Adoption
A pre-trial Conference is required in each adoption case. The date for final trial will be set at the pre-trial conference.
Pre-Trial Conference for SIJS Case
A pre-trial conference is required in each SIJS case. The date for final trial will be set at the pre-trial conference.
Submission Docket
Use for hearings to be considered by submission. Check court's policies for matters required to be set for consideration by submission.
Habeas (IN PERSON)
These hearings may be set to be heard in person in the 308th District Court, 201 Caroline, 8th Floor, Houston, Texas 77002.

Temporary Orders

Temporary Order Hearing- 45 Minutes
NOT for use in an initial filing where a temporary retraining order is being requested or a hearing on a temporary order is being requested and the other party has not yet appeared. This setting type is solely for use after the opposing party has appeared and mediation has been scheduled to occur prior to the hearing date or was already attended.

De Novo Hearing

De Novo Hearing- 45 Minutes
A request for de novo hearing must be timely filed with the Court to perfect your right to a de novo hearing; merely scheduling the date of the hearing through this portal will not perfect your right to a de novo hearing. The scheduling party is responsible for noticing the nonmovant of this hearing.
